The Girlfriend Experience
Created by Alecky Blythe
Royal Court Rough Cut
5 - 7 July 2007 at 7.45 pm
More information and booking
For the last year Alecky has been recording the lives of five prostitutes working in a quintessentially English brothel by the sea. The piece sheds an unexpected light on prostitution, uncovering a niche market of older independent women who are not in the grip of drugs or pimps. For Rough Cuts, Alecky will present a work-in-progress edit of their extraordinary stories of life at work, told entirely in their own words, recorded inside the brothel.
